The only restaurants that were built to handle the Covid-19 mandated curbside service are fast-food restaurants (ex. Chik-fil-la). For most restaurateurs, we realize an annual average of 15% for take-out/curbside pick up. Going to 100% of our business as take-out/ curbside has been the equivalent of re-creating our business model just to keep our doors open.
Don Juanz never closed its doors from day 1 of Covid-19. We kept our staff employed & found ways to cash flow our restaurants. Now that we’re permitted to serve frozen margaritas curbside (we love Louisiana!), every day is a different day as we constantly source inventory & ingredients to serve our guests.
