If you’re looking to add a touch of sparkle, sophistication, and heartfelt southern charm to your holiday season, make plans to visit The Hotel Monroe, a Hilton Boutique Property owned by Christie and Michael Echols. Nestled in the heart of  Monroe, The Hotel Monroe offers guests a lovely, timeless experience where hospitality is more than a gesture—it’s a feeling that lingers long after you leave. The moment you step through its historic doors, you’re greeted by a sense of warmth, tradition, and elegance that perfectly captures the spirit of the season.

This year, The Hotel Monroe is transforming its property into a dazzling holiday wonderland. Every corner will glisten with festive décor, from sparkling trees to garlands aglow with twinkling lights. One of the season’s most enchanting experiences, Cocoa in the Courtyard, will take place each evening from December 4th through December 23rd, between 5–7 p.m. Guests can gather in the courtyard, wrapped in cozy scarves, sipping steaming cups of rich cocoa as they bask beneath the soft shimmer of holiday lights. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, savor the moment, and soak in the magic of the season. Inside, the hotel lobby will be dressed in its most elegant Christmas finery—an irresistible backdrop for capturing those cherished holiday photos with family and friends.

The highlight of the month will be the Christmas High Tea, hosted on Sunday, December 21st, from 3–5 p.m. This signature event invites guests to indulge in a celebration of taste and tradition. Beautifully tiered trays will feature delicate finger sandwiches, handcrafted pastries, and an array of sweets as pretty as they are delicious. Each treat will be perfectly paired with a curated selection of fine teas and festive beverages. Whether shared with loved ones or savored as a special personal indulgence, the afternoon promises to transport guests straight into a storybook of holiday enchantment.

Throughout December, The Hotel Monroe will brim with seasonal delights. Strolling carolers and live musicians will fill the air with familiar melodies, adding to the joyful ambiance. Children and the young-at-heart may even be treated to a surprise visit from the North Pole. As evening falls, guests are invited to continue the celebration at Heirloom, the hotel’s award-winning restaurant, renowned for its locally inspired cuisine. For those who prefer to toast the night sky, The Star Bar, the rooftop lounge, offers breathtaking city views and handcrafted cocktails that capture the flavor of the holidays.

From glittering lights to the scent of fresh pine and the sound of laughter echoing through its halls, every detail at The Hotel Monroe has been thoughtfully designed to make your holiday stay or visit unforgettable. Whether you join for Cocoa in the Courtyard, the Christmas High Tea, or simply to enjoy the décor and ambiance, one thing is certain—this season at Hotel Monroe will be nothing short of magical.
