Their Royal Majesties, Rex LXXVII and Regina LXXVII, invite guests to turn their gaze skyward as Cotillion celebrates man’s timeless fascination with the heavens. From Galileo’s first stellar glimpse through his telescope, to the artists of the renaissance who painted in strokes of gold and indigo, this evening honors centuries of celestial exploration, imagination and beauty.
Cotillion has been called one of Shreveport’s most important yearly events. Established in 1949 by the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce along with local merchants and civic leaders, The Cotillion Club strives to bring about significant economic impact and a continued interest in the Ark-La-Tex. For more than 75 years, Cotillion has represented grace and beauty in work and play, and this year’s festivities are sure to inspire guests to look to the stars in a celestial celebration.
