I began this journey around the age of 12 not knowing this was a gift that God provided me. When I was a little girl I would ask my dad on birthdays, anniversaries, and other holidays if he would take me to the store so that I could decorate or make surprises for the family. I would set my parents’ room with a table for them to eat with rose petals on the table and floor with table settings and tablespaces; I felt so accomplished after doing so. Then I being brushing up on the wrapping skills, and lead me in charge of all gift wrapping. After graduating from Captain Shreve High School, I attended Southern University A&M Baton Rouge and LA Tech after graduation. I lived in Houston, TX, and then moved back home to Shreveport, LA. Upon returning home I began my career as an HR Business Partner in the Retail, Manufacturing, and Oil & Gas Sector for 20 years. During my HR tenure, I continued to create florals and design in my spare time. However, I knew that something was missing. I loved HR and helping companies and associates grow to new heights, yet I felt stagnated. After my last workforce restructuring, I finally decided to fully trust God and step out on FAITH. I have experienced highs and lows but it is been worth it every moment of the journey.
I am now the owner and operator of Events by Tab where our style can best be described as traditional with a twist. We believe in balance; if we focus on incorporating Joy, Uniqueness, Innovation, Creativity, and Energy into the space, we are able to produce better parties. We pride ourselves in the unexpected; we like to push the envelope and our mission is always to create a party, not just a pretty event.
In addition, we have expanded our services with a full-service event center. Venecia Luxury Event Venue located at 6350 Venecia Dr in Bossier City, La. with a capacity to seat 150-175 guests. Venecia Luxury Event Venue partnered with Events by Tab, a full-service event design company, that offers an array of customized services. Our services represent our main offerings and can be tweaked to fit your needs. We offer Full-service or Raw Space featuring a ‘la Carte Services.
