Well, this was unexpected, right?

Can you imagine if someone would have told you in January, “By March 15th your kids will be out of school for the rest of the year? You will be quarantined in your house for two months. Every event will be canceled, and you will not be able to hug your loved ones. Hundreds of thousands of people will die from a virus. You will have to close your businesses. Also, the life you have always known may never return to normal.”

I would have thought whoever was telling me this had lost their mind. No way. That sounds like some far-fetched plot from a 90s movie… Yet, here we are… The amazing thing about it is how resilient people actually are. We think that we could never handle homeschooling our kids, cooking every meal, the stress of our loved ones getting sick, the financial strain… yet, we do it. We make it work and we learn to see the hidden blessings in the midst of the chaos. There is much uncertainty during this very strange chapter of history we are living in. One thing that is certain, we WILL overcome. The remarkable people in our great state will come together and we will all come out of this better than ever! I believe that with my whole heart.

Lola Magazine has had to make some temporary adjustments. Due to businesses being closed we decided to bring you our May issue in an online format. We wanted to continue to support our local businesses and as always, bring you stories to lift your spirits and inspire you.

It is our prayer that you are all safe and healthy. That you have found moments of great joy during this time of uncertainty. We hope that you continue to support our local businesses. We have faith that you will withstand this great challenge and that we will all be stronger than ever -TOGETHER IN THE 318.

Much Love, Bevin
